On December 21, 2023, pursuant to an Order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, BDO Canada Limited was appointed as Receiver and of the assets, undertakings and property of HBJR Holdings Ltd. (the “Company”).
HBJR Holdings Ltd. is a clothing company that sells compression socks, slippers, sleepwear and other apparel through wholesale and direct to consumers.
The receiver solicited offers for the assets, undertakings and property of the Company.
The receiver accepted an offer from The Sockdoc LLC to purchase the assets of the Company, subject to Court approval. On April 2, 2024 the receiver made an application to Court to approve the Sale. On April 9, 2024, the offer from The Sockdoc LLC was approved by the Court.
On April 29, 2024, the receiver assigned the Company in to bankruptcy. The First Meeting of Creditors occurred via Microsoft Teams on May 16, 2024, at 10:00am PDT.
On June 12, 2024, the receiver made an application for its discharge. On June 26, 2024, the receiver was discharged.
